1940s Art Deco Leather & Oak Armchair by Charles Dudouyt

This Art Deco high-back armchair was designed by Charles Dudouyt, circa 1940s. The frame is a solid oak finished in a dark glaze, while the upholstery is a tan leather contoured by piping in a darker leather. While the design is minimalist, there are subtle decorative features to this chair. The arms curve outward from the back into padded armrests, culminating in a scrolled edge and an expertly worked spindle form. The back legs are splayed and slightly taper downward. Providing sturdy and comfortable seating, this handsome chair will add a touch of warmth to any interior.
