1950s Cerused Oak Chest of Drawers by Jack Van Der Molen for Vanleigh Furniture

This truly elegant, iconic case piece is a chest of drawers designed by Jack Van der Molen for Vanleigh Furniture in the 1950s. It is comprised of beautifully grained oak wood which has been newly cerused. The finish adds a warm tone of gray to the wood while maintaining the original grains, which show through like stripes. The structural design of the chest consists of smooth lines punctuated by subtle curves and rounded angles, which can be found in the carved handles and the tapering legs. There are five drawers varying in height, some with organizers, providing ample storage space.
