This runner rug was handwoven with camelhair in the Early 20th Century in Serab, Iran. The rug is beautifully weathered, revealing its age in varying textures and wear. The rug's design is comprised of an unadorned outer border in raw camelhair, which frames a densely patterned interior. The main field is ornamented with elaborate lattice patterns which contain richly colored branch and floral motifs. Overall, the rug's palette consists of blues and reds, black, and raw tan camelhair.
