Italian Murano Glass Chandelier Attributed to Barovier & Toso

This Midcentury chandelier is attributed to Barovier & Toso. It is comprised of detachable handblown Murano glass "feathers" that form a kind of chrysalis around the three bulb sockets at the center. A fluted stem connects the body to a similarly fluted glass bowl canopy, which in turn echoes the bottom segment bowl of the chandelier. The glass pieces are flecked with gold flakes, giving their transparency a twinkling luminescence. This is a stunning centerpiece and an inspirational source of light.
