Mid-20th Century Bouclé & Maple Armchair Attributed to T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings

This Mid-20th Century armchair is attributed to the renowned designer T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Like many of his designs, this chair eschews the overly ornamental for the simplicity and smooth lines of Classical Greek art. This is reflected in the minimalism of the chair's shape and structure, but also in the choice of materials, whose natural characteristics Robsjohn-Gibbings favored in thinking of the decorative aspects of furniture. While frame is maple wood with a dark finish, the upholstery work is a new, blue cotton bouclé.
