Mid-Century Modern Office Chairs Attributed to Paul McCobb - a Set of 4

These four office chairs are attributed to the American designer, Paul McCobb. They were manufactured in the late 1950s and are in excellent condition. The frame consists of iron and walnut wood, while the seat and back are cushioned and upholstered. The wood has been newly refinished and the upholstery is a new, black, soft cotton fabric from Duralee. Like many of McCobb's designs, in these chairs, the hardy, minimal aspects of the industrial are brought together with the softness and warmth of wood and textile, all combined in an architecture of clean lines and angles. These are comfortable armchairs that can be used not only in the office, but in a variety of interiors.
