These towering wrought iron torchières were hand-made in the 1940s. They have an ebonized coating that lightens the robustness of the iron. Their design is one of whimsy: organic, flat ribbons that end in curlicues. At the top, seven candelabra style bulb sockets are refurbished with brass sleeves. Each torchière differs from the other at the base: one base has curlicues that curve inward, while the other has curlicues that come up and curve upward. Together, they are regal in stature and offer beautiful lighting.
The torchières are robust and in great condition. They have surface patina and wear that are consistent with age and use. They have been newly rewired and refurbished with dimmers.
