Pair of Napoleonic Revival Leather & Lacquered Wood Armchairs

These two elegant chairs were crafted in the 1920s in a Napoleonic Revival style. They can also be characterized, however, as being in the manner of Art Deco & Hollywood Regency, as Modernism gave way to an abundance of hybrid & experimental designs. This pair is comprised of black lacquered wood frame with caning and gilt wood trimming. The chairs are reupholstered in a rich olive-green leather with a sheen that complements the texture of the lacquered wood.
