These bold, colorful screen prints are by the late Abstract Expressionist painter Robert Goodnough (1917-2010). Like in many of his paintings, the artist uses clusters of puzzle-like shapes that appear to float or lie on a field. In this case, the field is the off-white of the paper. The shapes suggest aerial views of islands but they can be seen as also taking on, or suggesting, anthropomorphic elements. However they're interpreted, they are striking in their saturated color and, when there is more than one color, in the ways multiple colors interact with each other.
Goodnough's work is in the collection of, and has been exhibited in, the Museum of Modern Art. He has shown in Tibor de Nagy Gallery.
Each of the print is presented in their original glass and chrome frames. They are signed Artist Proofs.
