"When the Butterfly Comes" by MP Landis

This small painting by MP Landis continues his use of the grid, which is very visible here as lines that look  as if they've been incised into the canvas. Various blue hues with indeterminate borders are juxtaposed with the more orderly grid. Common with Landis's work, this painting - evocative of the experience of remembering - is tactile and beckons not only to be seen but also to be held.

8" height, 10" length, signed, titled, and dated 2004 on the back.
